Abstract
The production of conifer seedlings for reforestation uses genetic improvement techniques that have been that have been in place for several decades. They have allowed to improve considerably the vigor and the growth of the reproduced of the reproduced species. To these techniques have been added genomic selection and somatic embryogenesis embryogenesis, two techniques made possible by scientific advances in genetics, computer science and in cell culture.
Abstract
La production de plants de conifères pour le reboisement fait appel à des techniques d’amélioration génétique mises en place depuis quelques décennies. Elles ont permis d’améliorer considérablement la vigueur et la croissance des espèces reproduites. À ces techniques viennent de s’ajouter la sélection génomique et l’embryogenèse somatique, deux techniques rendues possibles grâce aux avancées scientifiques en génétique, en informatique et en culture cellulaire

Abstract
This study aimed to evaluate, in an accelerated manner, several aerodynamic drag reduction measures applicable to Class 8 tractor-trailer combinations. The tests were conducted according to SAE J1321 Joint TMC/SAE Fuel Consumption Test Procedure - Type II (SAE International 1986). The test results show up to 5% improvement in fuel consumption for the test vehicles equipped with boat tail devices, and up to 7% for the vehicles equipped with trailer skirts.
