This calculator is intended as a companion to the Product Category Rules for North American Structural and Architectural Wood Prodcuts. It serves to simplify and standardize the approach to biogenic carbon accounting when developing EPDs according to that PCR. This tool comes in two versions: one for use with cradle-to-grave LCA data (the B2C tool) and one for use with cradle-to-gate LCA data (the B2B tool)

Abstract
National Building Code of Canada (NBC) 2020 is the latest edition of the national model code that will be published towards the end of 2021. Based on the best available information from the Standing Committee on Earthquake Design (SCED) at the time of writing this report, the seismic design demand in the NBC 2020 has increased for all site classes for many locations across the country. Also, there are other changes in NBC 2020 that might impact the seismic analysis and design of timber buildings. The main objective of this report is to compare the NBC 2020 to the 2015 edition, with emphasis on the level of the seismic design loads (demands), and potential impacts on the analysis and design of timber buildings.

Abstract
The objective of this program is to establish and implement the necessary process(es) for developing credible, comparable and consistent EPDs, for both Business to Business (B-to-B) applications and Business to Consumer (B-to-C) communications. The EPDs will be intended to assist purchasers and users to make informed comparisons between products, however they will not represent environmental claims regarding the superiority or equivalence of one product versus a competing product that performs the same function. This version replaces January 2011 version.
