Through a collaboration with the Canadian Space Agency, researchers from Natural Resources Canada's Canadian Forest Service (CFS) had the opportunity to study the effect of weightlessness on white spruce trees. They were able to compare the data obtained on spruce trees growing on the International Space Station with a control group growing in with a control group growing under the same conditions (but in the presence of gravity) at the Kennedy Space gravity) at the Kennedy Space Center in Florida.
