FPInnovations has developed a computerized platform called FPSuite. This platform contains a series of tools that collect data from forestry equipment (FPDat), transfer them (FPCom) compile them and make them accessible to the user (FPTrak), in order to be able to analyze and follow the operations. The presentation of all the information in one place facilitates consultation and provides an overview of of the operations. This improves the coordination of actions, reaction time and rectification of many situations that can occur in the situations that may arise in the forest.

FPInnovations a développé une plateforme informatisée nommée FPSuite. Cette plateforme contient une série d’outils qui collectent les données des équipements forestiers (FPDat), les transfèrent (FPCom), les compilent et les rendent accessibles à l’utilisateur (FPTrak), afin de pouvoir analyser et suivre les opérations. La présentation de toute l’information au même endroit en facilite la consultation et fournit une vue d’ensemble des opérations. Cela améliore la coordination des actions, le temps de réaction et de rectification de nombreuses situations qui peuvent survenir en forêt.
Faced with a complex forestry reality, several stakeholders in the Mauricie region have come together to form the GIM (Mauricie Initiative Group). This group, composed of industrialists and representatives of the Minister of Forests, Wildlife and Parks (MFFP), wishes to develop a new vision of the wood industry in the Mauricie region by optimizing the potential of the forest by optimizing the potential of the Mauricie forest. Devant une réalité forestière complexe, plusieurs intervenants de la Mauricie se sont regroupés pour former le GIM (Groupe Initiative Mauricie). Ce groupe, composé d’industriels et de représentants du ministère des Forêts, de la Faune et des Parcs (MFFP), souhaite développer une nouvelle vision de la filière bois en Mauricie en optimisant le potentiel de la forêt mauricienne. Dans cette optique, tous les segments de la chaîne de création de valeur, de la forêt aux usines, ont été analysés.
