This report provides measurement results about post-retrofit building envelope performance of two
wood-frame multi-unit residential buildings with exterior insulation added during retrofitting in the
coastal climate of British Columbia. Building No. 1 had 50 mm thick expanded polystyrene (EPS)
insulation boards installed in its exterior walls during recladding and tapered polyisocyanurate insulation
boards, in thickness from 100 mm to 25 mm installed in its low-slope vented roof during re-roofing.
Building No. 2 had 75 mm thick mineral wool insulation boards installed on the exterior walls. Sensors
were installed in these wall and roof assemblies, at 12 measurement locations in total, as well as in the
vented attic and the vented crawl space of Building No. 2 to assess post-retrofit building envelope
