A database to accept data from the "Cold Lumber Effect on MOE Test" has been established. The database now contains 725 specimens representing approximately one-fifth of the data collected up to date. Using the results of 315 of the 725 test specimens in the database, a simple linear model was fitted to the bending modulus of elasticity, moisture meter, and temperature readings. Relative to r2 values typically found in full size lumber strength tests, the fit yielded a low coefficient of determination (r2=0.186). Nevertheless, a temperature effect coefficient of -0.27%/oC was found. Because of the low r2 value, however, the reliability of the value of this coefficient is questionable. Further improvements in the model should be investigated to increase r2.
