The distribution of stress in a multi-web-type plywood stressed-skin panel is obtained theoretically. The panel is considered to be simply supported and under uniformly distributed load applied to the compressed skin. Secondary bending of this skin is taken into account. The influence in the stress distribution of several geometric and elastic parameters is studied in detail and a new design method is proposed which avoids the customary definition of a "basic spacing"
